Severe Threat Ramps Up Thursday in Texas and the High Plains
The threat of severe thunderstorms will be on the rise again starting Thursday in the central and southern Plains, and may persist into the upcoming weekend.

Areas shaded in red have the greatest chance of seeing severe storms on Thursday.
In the meantime, scattered thunderstorms may flare up Wednesday afternoon and evening in the High Plains from western Nebraska to the Rio Grande Valley with large hail and a brief damaging wind gust possible.
A few strong t-storms in the Southeast may produce a brief high wind gust and hail, in addition to locally eavy rainfall Wednesday.
